'412' Upper Middle School

Daily Devotional for Oct. 19th

Read Philippians 3:4-6.

Everyone has a purpose for everything
they do. Paul’s avowed purpose was to serve
God — according to his own understanding.
He could brag that his purity, righteousness,
and zeal for God would stand against the best
of the Pharisees. By human standards he was
fulfilling his purpose in life.
When you look at yourself do you see
someone who looks as pure, righteous, and
zealous for the lord as the best of them? is
your purpose to be better than others, or is it
to measure yourself by Jesus’ standards?
ask God to help you keep your eyes
on Jesus, the only real model of righteous
living.

What kind of a name is '412'?  First of all, it's pronounced 'Four Twelve', and it stands for 1Timothy 4:12.

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

It's our theme verse, and a challenge to the students in the Upper Middle School (7th, 8th & 9th grades), to live out their own Christian faith, and be an example to those around them.
